Chuck started 714Web in July 2011, out of a necessity to supplement his income while ministering to the large homeless population of Knoxville, TN. After years of making websites for friends, family, and special events (he made one for his wedding), learning SEO and running ads on Google, and generating leads for himself and his personal ventures, the time had come to start using his talents to support himself while he ran a “halfway” house, fed the homeless, and served local ministries and churches with the same mission.
The day after Chuck decided to offer his services to the public, he got his first project, a website for Island Home Monuments, in South Knoxville. With twins due to enter the world in October, he pressed forward and soon picked up several more projects. When the twins showed up in October, one of them, Judah, weighed in at 7 lbs, 14 oz at birth!
Fast forward to 2014, Jeremy Caris joined the team, bringing with him his focus, discipline, systems, and processes from his time in the Army. The two of them partnered and turned 714Web into a well oiled and very organized agency. As of 2020, we now serve 98 clients and host over 100 websites! With a vast network of developers, designers, bookkeepers, and other specialists in marketing, copy, online ads, and more, we have successfully completed over 300 projects, and work with some of the biggest brands and businesses in multiple industries.
We would be remiss if we didn’t mention our strong faith and belief in Jesus. We believe Jesus walked the walk and was the human representation of the father’s heart that God has for all his creation. Without Him, we would have nothing. We credit God for all our success, and we thank Him for holding us together through all of life’s ups and downs. We’re so thankful for the elevation he has brought to our lives through 714Web, the number of lives we have been able to uplift and encourage, the things we have been able to do to make other’s lives better. At this time we host and maintain around 50 websites at no cost, for various non-profits and underfunded ventures, businesses, organizations, and ministries that align with our beliefs.
